Meet Mr. Aboagye, who is well-known for his passion for soccer. However, this love for soccer led him to discover his true calling in art and photography.
During his younger years, Mr. A was driven by his love for soccer and aspired to be a professional player. However, in his first year of college, he was dropped from his school’s team due to poor academic performance.
After being dropped from the team, Mr. A had to find another interest and started doodling. He discovered his talent for art and his creative side through these drawings.
Mr. A decided to explore his newfound passion by enrolling in graphic design classes and an entry-level darkroom class. He immediately fell in love with the process and stillness of creating art. Realizing that his hands could create beautiful art pieces, he decided to pursue photography as a career.
Although he didn’t know where it would take him in the future, Mr. A was passionate about his work and the career ahead of him.
On campus, we know Mr. A as a quiet, relaxed person who teaches Art Photography and coaches the A-Tech soccer team. He is a fantastic teacher who takes his classes on photo shoots and teaches editing skills and photography techniques. Additionally, Mr. Aboagye hosts painting activities for teachers and school staff. If you haven’t had the opportunity to meet him or take his class, I hope you get the chance to do so in the future.
