Earth is where we live since we discover light for the first time. As we know, it has been through a LOT of natural disasters, climate changes, evolutions, and an unbelievable amount of technology created by the man that has allowed us to dig way deeper into it (literallly).
What’s Earth Day?
Every year, Earth Day is a celebration of the environmental movement’s accomplishments and a chance to draw attention to the need of safeguarding the planet’s natural resources for coming generations (like yours!).

Planet vs. Plastics is this year’s topic, and it urges businesses, public officials, and regular citizens to cut plastic production by 60% by 2040. Additionally, it demands that single-use plastics be completely phased out by the end of this decade.
Earth Day was created in the U.S by a senator called Gaylord Nelson in 1969.
Over 190 Countries worldwide recognizes Earth Day as an offcial holiday.
First celebration of Earth Day was seen in NYC at Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue, where lots of individuals participated in street clean-ups.
It is estimated that 20M people participated in the very first day of Earth Day.
Earth Day is celebrated on the 22nd of April for a reason: To allow people to go outside since this is when college students are on spring breaks, and weather is good enough.
Revolutionary things came out of the creation of Earth Day! The Environmental Protection Agency was established as a response in 1970. Its mission was to help regulate mechanisms in order to decrease environmental harm.
Different Acts became law as a result of Earth Day. Some of those being the Clean Air Act, National Environmental Ed Act, etc.
What about Earth Day recently? Over 1 billion people have borrowed themselves to this holiday and participate in a wide range of activities to advocate for global warming.
